Go-To-Market Agent Platform Default Raises $20M Series A from 8VC
Default, which provides infrastructure for deploying AI agents across sales and marketing functions, secured a $20 million Series A round led by 8VC.
Default, a startup building a platform to deploy and manage AI agents across go-to-market operations, announced a $20 million Series A funding round led by 8VC. The company offers a visual workflow builder that lets teams construct, test, and publish automated sequences spanning the entire revenue stack—from inbound form routing and email scheduling to data enrichment and sequence management.
According to the company, the existing revenue stack lacks a unified data layer and tooling for agents to act autonomously, resulting in fragmented workflows. Default aims to solve this by providing a single platform that connects disparate tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, and Amplemarket, enabling agents to query, route, and update records without manual intervention. The platform's interface includes a drag-and-drop workflow editor and a chat-like search feature that surfaces pipeline insights.
Default's customers include companies such as WorkOS, Air, Hebbia, Cortex, and Perplexity, as shown on its website. The new capital will accelerate product development and go-to-market efforts, though specific allocation details were not disclosed. The Series A round positions Default to capitalize on the growing demand for agentic automation in sales and marketing, an area where legacy CRM and engagement tools have struggled to keep pace with evolving AI capabilities.
